Thali is built so you can create animated photos without signing up. We want you to understand what happens to your information when you use the app: what we store, what we do not store, and how you can reach us with questions.
We use the information we collect only to run and improve Thali. We do not sell your personal data to third parties for advertising or other purposes. This policy describes our practices in plain language.
Photos you import – When you pick a photo from your gallery, Thali reads it only on your device to apply effects and generate the animation. We do not send your photo to our servers. The image stays in the app memory until you leave the flow or close the app, unless you choose to save the result to Photos.
Exported GIFs and project data – When you export an animation, we may store a small amount of metadata on your device (for example, export history in the Library) so you can see your saved exports inside the app. The actual GIF files are written to your device storage or Photos library under your control.
Device and usage information – To keep the app stable and fix issues, we may collect anonymous information such as app version, device type, and general usage patterns (e.g. which screens are used). This helps us improve performance and compatibility. We do not use this to identify you personally.
In-app purchase and coins – If you make a purchase, the transaction is handled by the store (App Store or Google Play). We may receive information that a purchase occurred and that coins were added, so we can update your balance in the app. We do not store your payment details; those stay with the store.
We do not upload your imported photos or exported GIFs to our servers.
We do not use your data to target ads or sell it to ad networks.
You can use Thali without an account; we do not require email or login.
We do not share your personal information with third parties for their marketing.
Data that Thali stores on your device (such as export history and preferences) is kept in the app's local storage. If you delete the app, this data is removed with it. Exported GIFs you saved to Photos remain in your Photos library until you delete them yourself.
We may retain anonymous, aggregated statistics (e.g. crash reports or usage counts) for a limited time to improve the app. Such data cannot be used to identify you.
Thali may use third-party services for tasks such as analytics, crash reporting, or in-app purchase processing. These providers may collect their own data as described in their policies. We choose partners that respect user privacy and use data in ways consistent with this policy. When we integrate a new service that processes personal data, we will update this policy and, where relevant, the app.
Thali is intended for general use. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in a way that requires special treatment. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will work with you to address it.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect new features or practices. When we make meaningful changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, make the new version available in the app or on our website. Continued use of Thali after changes means you accept the updated policy.
